Jan. 28 Transition to Virtual Operations, Campus Closed

Bowie State University will be transitioning to virtual operations for all classes and office operations on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. The campus will be closed to all non-essential personnel, and all campus activities are canceled. All buildings except residence halls will be closed. Essential personnel should report on time. This is due to the extended time required to clear the extensive snow and ice accumulation on campus. University crews are making every effort to resume campus operations, as a safe return to in-person learning and work remains our top priority. Review Your Financial Aid Award

Students should review and finalize their financial aid packages as soon as they are available. Take these steps today to ensure that you’re ready for classes in the Fall.

Access Your Financial Aid Award

  1. Login to Bulldog Connection using your BSU user id and password. (Newly admitted students can find login information at the top of your Admit Letter)
  2. Access your financial aid package by clicking Self Service > Student Center > Finances>
  3. Choose Accept/Decline Financial Aid to accept or decline your award.

Note: The University reserves the right to change these awards at any time due to the receipt of additional information, verification, academic progress issues, or human error.

If your award amount does not meet your anticipated financial needs, parents have the option of applying for the Parent PLUS Loan. Learn about the Parent PLUS Loan and other financial aid opportunities.

Important Information about Promissory Notes

Before financial aid funds are distributed, first-time loan borrowers must visit www.studentaid.gov to complete the student electronic Master Promissory Note (EMPN) and Entrance Counseling.

If the Parent PLUS Loan is approved, parents must complete the Parent Master Promissory Note (PMPN) at www.studentaid.gov. If the PLUS loan is denied, you will be offered an additional unsubsidized loan.
