Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed January 26-27, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. Program Requirements

To earn a Bachelor of Science degree in philosophy, politics and economics, students must complete a total of 120 credit hours, including 51 credit hours in philosophy, politics and economics courses, 21-24 credit hours in electives, and 47-48 credits hours in general education requirements. For a Bachelor of Arts degree, students must complete an additional twelve credit hours of foreign language(s).
