Bowie State University Closed on Jan. 26-27 Due to Inclement Weather

Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed January 26-27, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open.   • Bridges to Doctoral Education in STEM (BDEinSTEM) Program, Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement (McNair), U.S. Department of Education Award: $1.5 million
  • Broadening Participation Research Project: Investigating the impact of collaborative project-based learning on self-efficacy of minority STEM students, NSF Award: $350,000
  • Near Peer Coaching to Improve Retention, Learning and Motivation in STEM - Apple and Thurgood Marshall College Fund Award: $100,000
  • Creating Research Opportunities for Students: The Mid-Atlantic Consortium, U.S. Department of Education Award: $2.9 million
  • Implementation Project: Education Innovation Initiatives - Ecosystem for Student Success, NSF Award: $1.5 million
