Adobe And CETL

At Bowie State University, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) works closely with Adobe to advance creative teaching, digital literacy, and innovation across the campus. As an Adobe Creative Campus, Bowie State provides students, faculty, and staff with free access to Adobe Creative Cloud, and CETL helps lead that effort through faculty development, workshops, and programming that support the meaningful use of Adobe tools in teaching and learning. CETL also helps strengthen this partnership through initiatives such as the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Adobe Mini Grants, which encourage faculty to explore, implement, and share innovative instructional practices using Adobe tools. Together, CETL and Adobe support a campus culture that values creativity, academic excellence, and student success.

The CETL Fellows attended the Adobe Max:The Creativity Conference in Los Angeles

This October 28-30th, Bowie State University was proudly represented at Adobe MAX 2025 in Los Angeles, California by Dr. Darilyn Mercadel, Dr. Antonia Charles-Strowbridge, Dr. Erica Hernandez, Dr. Jayne Cubbage, and Professor Ogechi Chieke. Sponsored by Adobe and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), the team joined thousands of creative professionals at The Creativity Conference to explore the future of design, innovation, and education.

The Adobe MAX offered immersive sessions on digital creativity—from generative AI and motion design to storytelling and classroom applications.
