Cyber Day

CyberDay is our signature event held in recognition of Cybersecurity Awareness Month. We launched the first CyberDay in 2019, and this year’s CyberDay 2026 will mark the 8th iteration on the BSU campus.Below are the core objectives of our annual CyberDay:

  1. Establish significance – It immediately answers the "why" by linking cybersecurity to national, economic, and personal well‑being, elevating the event beyond a purely academic exercise.
  2. Set the intellectual framework – It introduces and explains the year’s theme (for example, CyberDay 2025’s theme was “Deep Defense: Data & Cyber Frontiers”), providing a conceptual lens through which all subsequent sessions, keynotes, panels, demos, and posters should be viewed.
  3. Foster a sense of community and welcome – It explicitly acknowledges and welcomes every segment of the audience, including BSU students and faculty, high school partners, industry professionals, and distinguished speakers, creating an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere.
  4. Demonstrate institutional commitment – By featuring high‑level administration (such as the Dean, Provost, and President), it showcases BSU’s institutional investment and leadership in the field of cybersecurity.

What to Expect

  • Panel discussions on current threats, trends, and in-demand skills
  • One-on-one conversations with professionals about career paths
  • Networking across every sector of cyber education
